Imagine a world in which every child learns to read.

Envision a world where every child has access to books.

Picture a world where all children realize their full potential.

Room to Read is committed to making these dreams a reality through its Room to Dream Campaign, which aims to provide 11,000 communities in Asia and Africa with their first library by the end of 2010. These libraries will be filled with over 500 original children’s titles, representing 5 million books, plus 4 million donated English-language books. The libraries will also benefit from three years of librarian training and on-going support from Room to Read. Most importantly, over 5 million children in Asia and Africa will have access to life-changing educational resources.

We have both been blessed to receive an education that has inspired in us a life-long love of learning. To honor our commitment to education and service we hope to raise enough funds to build three libraries to provide others with the same opportunities that education has provided to us. We hope you will join us in supporting Room to Read in its effort to transform the lives of 5 million children in the developing world – one book, one child, one community at a time.
